How to Clean Carpet of Dog Urine

Cleaning dog urine from carpet is easy and it is not expensive. This will only need the preparation that you prepare your own home, and the effect will surprise you. This recipe helps even in cases in which the dog’s urine has long been withered, and it is left only whitish spot.

Whatever caused your dog to do its job on the carpet, the result is the same. Namely odor. The worst of all is that once was used for a toilet seat, the dog most often returned there again for the same purpose, and it does precisely because the smell of old urine attracts him.Avoid cleaning the carpet of dog urine with products that contain ammonia. The reason is that within the urine contains ammonia, which can cause the dog to come back there. And remember – dogs have hundreds of times more developed sense of smell than all of us.

How to Clean?

First step

If space is still wet, you first need to absorb. If you leave it to dry only, it will only cause the multiplication of bacteria and hence strong and unpleasant smell. For this you must first take a few napkins and paper with them to absorb urine. One after another they will absorb less, and the place will increasingly dries.

2nd step

Make a mixture of 50% water and 50% vinegar (light in color). Use a sprayer to apply the vinegar on the carpet. With a soft brush or your fingertips rub the liquid into the carpet to absorb well. Then blot again with paper towels until remove all moisture. Vinegar is a very strong product, which will neutralize the ammonia in the urine.

Third step

Once the site is already dry (or almost dry) must Sprinkle generously with baking soda. Mix half a cup of 3 percent hydrogen peroxide with one teaspoon detergent for washing dishes. Use clean detergent for washing dishes, not so with soda.

4th step

Pour the liquid that you have made on baking soda.

Note:

Do not use hydrogen peroxide with a greater concentration of 3%, as this may damage the carpet.

5th step
